Jürgen Klopp met with the media to discuss Liverpool's upcoming match with Bournemouth. He talked about the organized chaos the Cherries will likely bring to the pitch, the transfer window and how new signee Watanu Endo will mesh with the rest of the club.
Organized Chaos
When asked what he expects Bournemouth's approach will be in the match, Klopp says new manager Andoni Iraola will bring organized chaos to the pitch.
“[Andoni Iraola] stands for a specific style of play,” Klopp said “If you did your research, you could have found out [there is] no coincidence the Bournemouth board thought about him and brought him in. He did an exceptional job at his last club in a pretty unconventional way, if you want. I liked to use in the past very often the phrase 'organised chaos' but he likes not only the word – it is organised with chaos as well, so it's a tough one.”
A Window Of Opportunity
Liverpool have already signed Endo, but that does not mean the Reds are finished making moves.
“The window is open and until then pretty much everything can happen,” Klopp said. “On the outgoing side, from my side, nothing will happen but I learned in this window a lot of things so we will see that. Incomings, there is still time, so let's have a look and that's what we will do.”
Making Everyone Better
When a club signs a player the calibre of Endo, not only does he strengthen his position on the pitch, he makes everyone around him better, if they mesh well. Klopp believes that will happen for Liverpool's other midfield players and that they all should be in top form after the international break
“Endo is now in and he's allowed to train this afternoon,” he said. “If he's allowed to participate in the game tomorrow, I don't know, we will see that. On top of that, Stefan Bajcetic, really close but not there yet. Obviously, we really count on him. Thiago Alcantara the same – slightly similar profile, obviously much more experienced as well, but not there yet. So we need to just give them time. We cannot rush that. That all will look completely different after the international break but until then we have super-important games.”
LFC Globe Verdict
Based on what Klopp said in the press conference, this match could produce a lot of goals and be fun for fans to watch. As per usual, he does not seem over to be overly concerned with the transfer window, preferring to focus on coaching the players on the club and then integrating new players when they arrive.
