Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has signed as a free transfer with Turkish side Besiktas. According to Reuters, the contract is a three-year deal worth €2.5 million per season. Oxlade-Chamberlian came to Anfield from Arsenal in 2017 and has made 146 appearances for the Reds during that time, scoring 18 goals in the process.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has also competed on the International level for the Three Lions. He has 35 caps for England and 7 goals.
LFC Globe Verdict
This move is honestly not much of a surprise. Oxlade-Chamberlain's playing time dwindled last season as he only made 13 appearances across all competitions for the club.
Oxlade-Chamberlain's contract expired and at 29 years old, it makes sense that he would sign somewhere to continue his career.
