How to build your Liverpool starting XI
Build your preferred team for the fixture shown above, then give other supporters a lineup they can debate. This is an independent fan tool: your selection is not Liverpool’s official team sheet.
1. Check the fixture and choose a shape
Start with the opponent and kickoff shown in the tool. Choose a formation, from 4-3-3 to 3-5-2, and the shirts move into that shape on the pitch. Each XI belongs to one fixture.
2. Tap a shirt to pick a player
A goalkeeper shirt opens the Goalkeeper filter; defensive, midfield and attacking positions open Defence, Midfield and Offence respectively. Search by name or switch to All players to make a tactical choice in a different role. A player can appear only once. The expandable player list offers the same selections without using the pitch.
3. Make the XI yours
Choose home, away or third colours and, if you want, add a captain badge to one of your eleven selections. That badge is your choice for this lineup. The shirts are original fan illustrations, rather than official merchandise images.
4. Submit or share — choose the action you need
Select eleven different players to enable submission and artwork. Submit lineup records your selection before kickoff. Download PNG creates a branded image; downloading does not submit a lineup. Copy share text gives you a written version.
Create unlisted lineup link saves an exact snapshot of the XI, formation, colours and captain choice before kickoff. It does not submit a lineup. Anyone with that link can view it, so treat it as shareable rather than private. Changing your draft leaves the saved snapshot intact; create a new link to share your revised choices.
Once a lineup link is created, the X, WhatsApp and Facebook buttons share that saved link. Where your browser supports file sharing, Share image opens the device’s share menu. Otherwise, download the PNG and attach it yourself in your chosen app. You can find us on @LFCGlobeUK.
5. Return to the match hub
Compare your choices with the official team news when coverage is published, then come back for the result and fan ratings. Find the match hub or predict the score before the deadline.
Before you pick: availability and saved drafts
The selector shows the active roster. Being listed does not mean a player is fit, eligible or expected to start: verified match-specific absences are not integrated into the tool yet. Read the sourced injury updates and match coverage; unknown availability remains unknown.
Your draft is saved in this browser when device storage is available and expires after 30 days. Clearing a device draft does not remove submitted lineups or saved share links. On return, selections that no longer match the active roster need replacements.
Do I need an account?
You can build, download and create an unlisted XI link without an account while the fixture’s selection window is open. A verified My Globe account is useful if you also want account-linked predictions and private leagues.
What happens after kickoff?
Lineup submission and creation of new lineup links close at kickoff. Existing shared lineups remain readable. Use the next fixture to start a fresh selection; the hub shows which actions are currently available.
