Is This Mohamed Salah’s Last Season At Liverpool?

Fasika -

It's a question Liverpool fans will certainly not witness, but unfortunately, we must encounter it.

is undoubtedly one of Liverpool's greatest-ever players and is certainly the best player they have had in the era (from 1992 onwards).

The numbers he's put up and the trophies he's led the team to have been nothing short of spectacular. At the time of writing this, in 337 games for the Reds, he's scored a whopping 207 goals and assisted 89 more as he's cultivated a reputation for himself as an end-product machine.

He's spent just seven seasons at the club but has racked up a legacy that some spend decades on. Unfortunately, a player's time at a club will inevitably come to an end and in the case of Mohamed Salah, that time may be coming sooner rather than later.

The Egyptian King was subject to interest from Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad this past summer leaving fans worried that the 31-year-old may decide to cash in on the reported world-record bid to join the likes of Karim Benzema, N'Golo Kante and former Liverpool teammate .

Could this be the final season Mohamed Salah dons the Liverpool red?

He Will Stay At Liverpool

The money that Salah was apparently going to be earning in Saudi Arabia was out of this world but the lure of continuing to build his legacy at Liverpool and adding to his accolades proved too much.

Despite his decision to stay for the /24 season, that hasn't stopped fans from wondering whether he'd decide to join the Saudi Pro League next year.

However, the recently signed and the new young players the club brought in this past summer re-energised the squad that is being labelled Klopp 2.0.

Despite the massive midfield overhaul this season, Liverpool have looked brilliant for the most part and sit third in the Premier League, just two points off leaders .

The new faces around Liverpool have only given Salah a new lease of life as I believe he'll spend the rest of his prime with Liverpool considering he's arguably the best player in the world today.

It May Be His Last Chance At A Huge Contract

After a reported £350,000 a week contract with Liverpool in , it may have been the last massive contract in Salah's career considering he's 31-years-old.

An offer from Saudi Arabia is certainly bigger than what Liverpool can offer. It could spell such a contrast between the two offers that Salah may feel he has no choice but to take the gargantuan offer from the Middle East.

The opportunity to once again live in a Muslim country and be the face of the league are two aspects that should not be forgotten considering how serious Salah takes religion.

Whether he stays or goes, Salah currently plays for Liverpool and fans should appreciate every second he's on the pitch wearing the famous Liverpool red.

LFC Globe Verdict

Mohamed Salah remains one of the world's best players and I believe he'll look to create more history at Liverpool as he remains a Red for the foreseeable future.
