Jurgen Klopp has praised Liverpool forward Divock Origi for his performances this campaign and believes his versatility makes him a valuable player.
The Belgian striker has worked his way back in to the manager's plans this season, having made an instant impact in the Merseyside derby in December.
He has put in impressive cameo appearances on the left of Liverpool's attack of late, appearing to carry out Klopp's instructions to a tee.
Origi was extremely likely to leave Anfield at the start of this season, however his performances suggest he has a vital part to play, not just this season but in the future too.
Klopp says the 23-year-old's resurgence is down to his hard-work whilst insisting his qualities make him a tricky proposition to come up against.
“Div is doing well, really well in training,” Klopp said.
“You're right that he didn't have the best time as a football player or as a human being [earlier in the season], not being involved much and all that stuff.
“For sure he felt the impact of that for a while but then he came out of it. For a long time now, he's really trained on a high level.
“If we have the opportunity to play 11 v 11 and Div is in the other team then he's a proper challenge to deal with.
“He can play two positions at least which is good. For us, it's very important to keep the speed on the wing. His size is also important for defensive set-pieces.
“All credit to Div, he has done really well and it's absolutely deserved. Not one second that he's been given has been a present this season.”
Origi has come off the bench over the likes of Daniel Sturridge and Xherdan Shaqiri of late and based on his impact, he will have another key part to play in Liverpool's season as they look for both domestic and European glory.
The Reds are next in action against Southampton on Friday night, with victory seeing them go back above Manchester City in the Premier League table.
Origi could feature for his tenth appearance for the Reds in their last 11 games, although the usual attacking trio of Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah are certain to start.
