Jurgen Klopp relaxed ahead of decisive final day of the season

Shai Khullar -

says he is relaxed ahead of this weekend's potentially decisive final fixture against .

The Reds failed to secure qualification on Sunday, losing 1-0 to at Stamford Bridge following an Olivier Giroud header.

The result gives Chelsea hope of qualifying for Europe's elite competition next season.

Should the Blues defeat Town and in their final two fixtures, this weekend's meeting with Brighton becomes a must- game for the Reds if they are to secure Champions League football next season.

However Klopp says he is relaxed about that prospect as Liverpool still maintain control of their own destiny.

"It's my life, it's our life, that we always make it a little bit more exciting," he told LiverpoolFC.com.

"We had these situations a few times and it will be, for sure, exciting because Brighton is in a good moment, they played fantastic against [Manchester] United.

"But it's all OK, as long as we have it in our own hands, life is good.

"We still have to take it then but we will try everything."

The Reds have a rare free week to prepare for Sunday's clash with Brighton, and the boss says the time between games 'feels like a year', but is hopeful his squad can use this time to recuperate.

"I'm really happy that this very intense period is over now because we have one week to prepare for Brighton," he added.

"[It] will be a difficult game but we have one week - that feels like a year and we will use that.

"Hopefully they all came through the game then one week is fantastic.

"If one or two had little problems then one week is short as well but so far I didn't hear anything and I hope it stays like this."
