Liverpool looks to extend a season-best 3-match winning streak on Saturday when they face newly-promoted side, Nottingham Forest, on the road Saturday. The two clubs have not met in a Premier League contest since 1999 but did do battle in the FA Cup last March, a 1-0 win for the Reds.

For the first time seemingly all season, Liverpool have no fresh injuries to report heading into the fixture.
“We have some players we need to have a closer look at again to see if we can bring them in again from the beginning or bring on,” Jürgen Klopp said. “It's really a short turnaround because we play tomorrow at 12.30, so we will see. I will wait for the last minute pretty much to make my final decisions. There are no 'injuries', but knocks here and there and I will get further information later today.
A Familiar Face
When Liverpool and Nottingham Forest meet, former Red Neco Williams will suit up for the opposition. Williams joined Liverpool in 2019 for the U-21s and was with the Senior Team until signing with Nottingham Forest in July of 2022. He has only made 2 appearances so far this season with his new club, but according to reports, Williams is likely to be named to the Starting XI Saturday and have the unenviable task of defending Mohamed Salah.
No Room For Robin Hood
Robin Hood is a legendary figure closely associated with the Nottingham area known for robbing the rich to help the poor. Liverpool cannot afford to be so generous. Nottingham Forest only have 6 points this season with their last victory coming on August 14th. They sit 19th on the EPL table and they look like a side ripe for relegation. Here's hoping the Reds are not in a charitable mood, and won't give Nottingham Forest any hope of gaining a result.

Having said that, Nottingham Forest is an EPL club, so they have talented players. Liverpool have to guard against a letdown, especially after a pair of hard-fought 1-0 wins. Aside from Williams, Nottingham Forest's best player is another former Red Taiwo Awoniyi who has scored 2 of his team's 7 total goals this season. Goalie Dean Henderson is coming off a clean sheet in a scoreless draw with Brighton so Nottingham Forest have some momentum. It's up to Liverpool to take that away as soon as possible.

On paper, this is a match that Liverpool should dominate and the club's recent run of good play suggests the same thing. However, football is not played on paper, so the Reds need to bring the same energy and passion that they had at Anfield in the last 2 matches to the away pitch. They need to score early to take the crowd and Nottingham Forest out of the game. If they do, it should be an easy win for Liverpool. If not, it will be an interesting 90 minutes of football.
