Liverpool have progressed to the Champions League final and will face Real Madrid in Kiev on Saturday May 26.
Liverpool booked their place in the final with a 7-6 win on aggregate over Roma on Wednesday night.
Sadio Mane and Georginio Wijnaldum scored for Jurgen Klopp's side at Stadio Olimpico, with James Milner‘s own goal, Edin Dzeko's close-range strike and a late Radja Nainggolan double making for a worrying end.
However, the Reds will travel to Kiev in just over three weeks time to secure their sixth European cup.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid knocked out Bayern Munich to set up a repeat of the 1981 European final, when the Reds defeated the Spanish giants 1-0 in Paris.
Almost four decades later, the two clubs will meet in Kiev, Ukraine – with the match to be held at the capital city's NSC Olimpiyskiy Stadium.
The stadium was opened in 1923 and currently holds 70,050 supporters. It previously played host to England's clashes with Sweden and Italy at Euro 2012.
Jürgen Klopp's team sealed their place in the final for the eighth time despite a 4-2 defeat against Roma on Wednesday night, which confirmed a 7-6 aggregate success for Liverpool.
Real, winners of the Champions League in the previous two seasons and three of the last four, qualified after a 2-2 draw at home to Bayern was enough for a 4-3 victory over two legs.
