It's a welcome return to Premier League action for Liverpool who were last in action in March when they drew 1-1 with Manchester City in a thrilling match-up at Anfield.

While they've had one game since in what was a devastating 4-3 defeat to Manchester United in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, Liverpool had plenty of time to rest after an extremely busy run of games.

While none of their current injured players will be fit enough to return against Brighton on Sunday (March 31), they continue to edge closer to full fitness in the run-in where Liverpool continue to fight for the Premier League and the Europa League.

Before their cup defeat to Man United, Liverpool had suffered just one defeat since January which was their 3-1 loss to Arsenal as Jürgen Klopp's side had been in stunning form despite their injury crisis.

With the likes of Darwin Núñez and Mohamed Salah getting a well-deserved rest after not going on international duty with their respective countries, two of Liverpool's most dangerous players will be hoping to immediately find themselves on the scoresheet in what is a difficult fixture against Brighton.

Brighton - who sit eighth in the Premier League - have been somewhat of a bogey team for the Reds in recent years. Liverpool have defeated the south coast team just once in their last eight clashes in all competitions and drew 2-2 in the reverse fixture at the Amex Stadium last October.

Roberto De Zerbi's Brighton play with no fear and have certainly shown that when coming up against Liverpool. Despite the Seagulls' inconsistent form this season where they've picked up just five league wins since October, they are not to be looked past and that's something Klopp knows he'll never do.

The most important part of the season has now come and the players and the fans know just how much it means to Liverpool.

While it'll be a difficult clash, Liverpool will leave Anfield with three points in a 2-0 victory for the Reds with Mohamed Salah and Darwin Núñez bagging for the Reds.
