Recap of Jürgen Klopp’s Post-Match Press Conference vs. Toulouse

In his post-match press conference, opened up about Liverpool's dominant 5-1 against Toulouse where they made it three wins out of three in the competition.

The Liverpool boss - who made eight changes from the 2-0 win against - spoke to TNT Sports after the game as he displayed his happiness at Liverpool's third win out of three in the .

“Very happy. How difficult the game could have been but the majority of the time we were in control. The right players scored, [it was a] perfect night,” he said. 

Opportunities To The Young Players

The Europa League for Liverpool this season has allowed Klopp to offer opportunities to the young players from the academy who may not have had the chance if the club were competing in the this season.

Luke Chambers, 19, made his full debut in the 5-1 win while 18-year-old Calum Scanlon made his first-team debut after coming on during the club. Klopp said how important it is for the youngsters to have the opportunity of playing for the club and knowing there is a route to the first team for them.

“The young boys need to get that feeling,” he stated. “In good moments you can give those boys the opportunity and they took it. would have had minutes for sure and who is back soon hopefully.”

Liverpool's academy of late has produced some real gems who have the likes of and to look up to as the two senior members of the squad who've come through the academy.

Klopp was asked about the 21-year-old after the game and the Liverpool boss couldn't stop offering up compliments as he said: “Really good player, I'm so happy for him.”

“His first touch is incredible, [he's] so good in tight spaces. He still has space for improvement. He's very young and [there is] so much more to come.”
