Liverpool begin their 2025 Asian Tour by travelling to Hong Kong to face fellow World Football power AC Milan. The defending EPL Champions are already 2-0 in the pre-season after defeating Stoke City 5-0 in a closed scrimmage and Preston North End 3-1 at Deepdale.

New Faces

The Liverpool roster makeover continues as the Reds prepare for their pre-season tour in Asia. Hugo Ekitike signed with the club on July 23 and flew out to meet up with the team in time to make his debut vs. on July 26. Ekitike comes to Liverpool from the German side Eintracht on from PSG. Ekitike is the latest in a slew of new signings by Arne Slot that also include Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, Giorgi Mamardashvili and Florian Wirtz.

Núñez Impresses Early

Sometimes, judging a team by the preseason results is fool's gold, but it can also be a useful tool. The fact that Darwin Núñez scored a hat trick inside 20 minutes vs Stoke shows that he still wants a place in what looks to be a potent Liverpool attack. Núñez also scored in the Reds' 3-1 at Preston, continuing his hot start.

A Good Test

This should be a good test for both teams as they get ready for their respective domestic campaigns. AC Milan gave Arsenal a test before falling 1-0 in their first pre-season match, so it will be good to see how the Reds perform vs. tougher competition. AC Milan's big offseason is Luka Modrić, who spent the last 14 seasons with Real Madrid and USA captain Christian Pulisic, who scored against Liverpool last season in a Champions League match.

LFC Globe Verdict

I don't know if you are ready for the new season, but I sure am. Even though I won't get to see them play like I did last year, watching the Reds from afar does not dampen my enthusiasm. In this particular match, I want to see how the new players mesh with the veterans vs. top competition and whether Núñez can continue to play at a high level.

Where To Watch

The match will kick off from Hong Kong at 1230 BST (7:30 AM EST) and can be seen exclusively on Liverpool's new streaming platform All Red Video.
