Six Liverpool legends are joining the club on their upcoming Asian tour in Singapore. John Aldridge, John Barns, Gary MacAllister, Ian Rush, Lucas Leiva, and Martin Skrtel will act as goodwill ambassadors for the Reds, taking part in several community projects and other activities in the days surrounding Liverpool's preseason match with Leicester City on July 30th at 10:00 BST or 5:00 AM EST.
On the pitch, Liverpool will try to, once again, lift the Standard Charter Singapore Trophy like they did last year after beating Crystal Palace 2-0
“Playing for Liverpool FC was an absolute honour and a privilege and I'm so lucky to be able to continue my connection with this great club as a legend on tour this summer in Singapore,” Leiva said.
In Singapore, Liverpool will also play German side Bayern Munich on August 2nd. Kickoff for that match is set for 12:30 BST or 7:30 AM EST.
