The Liverpool number 23 was in fine form on his first start for Liverpool during their 3-0 victory against Southampton on Saturday.
Xherdan Shaqiri has made just three cameo appearances for Liverpool following his summer move from Stoke, however he was finally let loose from the off against the Saints at Anfield.
Shaqiri started in a central attacking midfield role behind Liverpool's front three and duly impressed, linking up with some incisive and quick plays.
It didn't take long for Shaqiri to make his mark in a Reds shirt, creating Liverpool's opener which deflected off Wesley Hoedt and hitting the bar from 35 yards out for Salah to capitalise and tap in from close-range.
The 26-year-old looked dynamic throughout the first-half, running into space and creating chances for his teammates. Indeed, he was unlucky not to get off the mark with a goal of his own.
With the game effectively over, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp withdrew the Swiss international at half-time following a promising display.
Liverpool supporters will be already looking forward to seeing him against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, with Klopp confirming his half-time change was for tactical reasons rather down to fitness.
Here's what Liverpool supporters made of Shaqiri's debut start...
Shaqiri is brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.

Thing with Shaqiri is, he is a very hit and miss type of player a la Luis Garcia. But when he's good; he's fucking boss. Been very impressive so far, especially that free kick. 🚀
Xherdan Shaqiri is a fucking pocket sized dynamite. Incredible first half performance from the diminutive Swiss international, really thrived in that free role. pic.twitter.com/n7mUOvhRhu
