Following on from Liverpool's late Merseyside derby victory on Sunday, the Reds are back in action just three days later at Turf Moor.
Victory against the Blues was pivotal to keep Liverpool in the running for the Premier League alongside Manchester City, who show no signs of slowing down after a 2-1 win at Watford on Tuesday.
Jurgen Klopp will be hoping his side can keep their momentum following their derby day victory, with all the pressure on the Reds to secure three points.
The Reds may need to be patient against Sean Dyche's side, if history is anything to go by. All seven of Liverpool's goals away to Burnley have come in the second half of matches.
However, the home side start the night in the relegation places, with the joint-second worst goal difference out of all 20 Premier League sides.
It may be a cliche, but it's games such as these that the Reds must overcome if they are to be seriously considered to be in the running for the title come May.
Team News
Sadio Mane and Andy Robertson are major doubts for the game, having suffered a foot injury and a dead leg respectively three days ago.
Liverpool will welcome back Jordan Henderson, after a suspension kept him out of the fixture against Marco Silva's side on Sunday. Adam Lallana is also in contention after returning from injury.
The Liverpool boss is likely to make a number of changes to his side, with big games against Napoli and Manchester United to come next week, after the Reds face an in-form Bournemouth at the weekend.
There is speculation that Joel Matip, Dejan Lovren and Alberto Moreno could see some game-time as Klopp rotates his key players.
Klopp has a number of options in midfield, with Henderson, Fabinho, Naby Keita, Gini Wijnaldum and James Milner all vying for a starting role.
Fabinho is likely to retain his place after a dominant display at the weekend, whilst this could be the ideal fixture to give Naby Keita a first start after returning from injury.
Unlikely hero Divock Origi is also tipped to be brought in to the side to replace Mane after his winning goal against Everton, whilst Daniel Sturridge is also on the radar.
