The International Window has closed, but that did not stop several Reds from having outstanding performances on the pitch on March 28th. Mohamed Salah unsurprisingly scored a goal in Egypt's 4-0 win over Malawi in the African Cup of Nations while also providing an assist. Salah's exploits helped Egypt climb to the top of Group D in the standings.
In Euro 2024 qualifying, Andy Robertson captained a Scottish side that upset 2010 World Cup Champion Spain 2-0. Robertson assisted on a goal as the Scotts improved to 2-0 in qualifying so far. In U-21 action, Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones both saw playing time on the pitch in England's friendly 2-1 loss at the hands of Croatia.
Liverpool return to Premier League action as they travel to Etihad Stadium on April 1st to face Manchester City. Kickoff is set for 12:30 BST
LFC Globe Verdict
With this short International break over, the Reds can now turn their attention back to league play. Hopefully, the goal from Salah will help the striker regain some form while Robertson's strong play could earn him more time on the pitch for Liverpool.
