A closer look at the tactics deployed by Jurgen Klopp and Mauricio Pochettino during Sunday's enthralling 2-2 draw at Anfield on Sunday.
Liverpool were marginally better in the first half, having taken the lead in the 3rd minute through Mohamed Salah's 20th goal of the Premier League season in only 25 games.
In the second half, Tottenham edged away at Liverpool but failed to break through their strong centre of Dejan Lovren and Virgil Van Dijk. It took a stunning strike from substitute Victor Wanyama for Pochettino's men to draw level.
Late drama ensued as Tottenham were awarded a penalty after Loris Karius was adjudged to have brought down Harry Kane. The England striker missed the penalty, but Kane – after Salah scored what looked to be a sensational winner for the Reds – made no mistake when afforded a second chance following Virgil van Dijk's foul on Erik Lamela.
Despite the chaotic final few minutes, YouTuber Nouman had a look at the tactics both managers used to negate each other. He said, "This was the first time when I saw two managers changing their formations so many times in a single game to overcome their opponents.
"It was almost like chess. One manager made the change and other immediately countered him with his next move. Both Pochettino and Klopp did a wonderful job from a tactical perspective. A beautiful game of football."
