The Reds have enjoyed a successful December that has propelled them to the top of the Premier League, boasting a six point lead ahead of today's fixtures.
With Tottenham in action against Wolves earlier in the day, the Reds' lead at the top could be whittled down to just three points ahead of a huge fixture against Manchester City next week.
Liverpool have won seven games in all competitions this month and could round off a memorable year with victory against Unai Emery's side at Anfield on Saturday.

Arsenal come to Merseyside in shaky form, with draws against Brighton and Manchester United along with a loss against Southampton in their last five league games.
Whilst Jurgen Klopp will be sure to tell his side there is still a long way to go in the hunt for the title, victory against the Gunners will give the Reds a huge boost to finish the year.
Liverpool will be hoping they can repeat their 4-0 dispatching of Arsenal last season, and the same result will the perfect way to prepare for Pep Guardiola's side next week.

The Reds boss confirmed during his pre-match press conference that James Milner will continue to miss out due to a hamstring problem, although he is on course for a return next week.
Alberto Moreno has recovered from a back injury that kept him out of the Reds' Boxing Day victory, whilst Dominic Solanke, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip are still sidelined with injury.
Klopp isn't expected to rotate too heavily and it is likely that the Reds' defence and attack stays the same from three days earlier.
The boss has tended to rotate his midfield options more than any other, so far this season, and he could opt to do the same against the Gunners.
Jordan Henderson has impressed after returning to the side, whilst Fabinho has also shone in his last few appearances.
The duo could both start together should Klopp want added defensive prowess against Arsenal's counter-attacking threat.
Gini Wijnaldum, Xherdan Shaqiri and Naby Keita will also be vying for a starting role, although who gets the nod is down to the system Klopp opts to go with - 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1.
