The Reds are back in action on Saturday, just three days after making the trip to Istanbul as they beat Chelsea on penalties to clinch the Super Cup trophy.

It's Liverpool's first away Premier League fixture of the new campaign as they travel down to the south coast to face Ralph Hasenhüttl's Southampton side.

The Saints, boosted by £15m summer signing Che Adams, made a disappointing start to their season last weekend as they fell to a 3-0 defeat against Burnley at Turf Moor.

Liverpool will need to be on the top of their game after their midweek excursions, with Saints undoubtedly set to be in the mood in front of their home fans for the first time this season.

Jurgen Klopp has insisted his side will be able to recover in time and put in a similar display to the one that saw them win 3-1 at St. Mary's last season, however with changes expected, it is intriguing to see how the Reds will cope away from home.
